- My love of art revolves around the female figure. I have chosen the female figure as a means of both capturing and expressing the emotion involved in the feminine experience. Loose figure sculpture is the vehicle I use to explore emotions ranging from humor to grief. Formerly from Highland Park, IL and Pompano Beach, FL, I now live in Arizona where I continue to expand my passion for sculpting the female figure. My work has been produced in kiln fired terra cotta, stoneware and porcelain; cast bronze and most recently cold cast bronze with various patinas. My work can be seen at the Artist’s of Scottsdale Ranch annual Art Show in January.
I'm going to sell face vases, body vases, the bas relief shown and some of the altered torsos. This show is in a beautiful setting surrounding a lake. Hoping for a good turn out and sales to benefit The Niki L Martin Scholarship.
ReplyDeleteThe show was very profitable for The Niki L Martin Scholarship! 8 pieces were sold including two of the face vases shown above. My masks on bases went to appreciative homes. Thanks to all for your nice comments..
